Redcrop "redcrop" (Kent UK) I am writing this review as my son has had this now for 12 months and it is still something he plays with every day. He moved from rocker to ride quite quickly but he is quite large for his age. He has learnt alot of words from this and I would highly recommend it.

Durability: Fun: Educational: What a wonderful toy! My 9 month daughter adores it and so do I. The words/songs are pronounced using good, clear English. The variety of options is huge so your child won't be bored after 5 mins. The toy adapts to the child's age & ability too so although it's expensive, it will outlast all the age-specific speaking toys you may buy. I'm expecting a good couple of years play from this item.

Calsdad "southern fried mackem" (Royal Berkshire) My 15 month old son loves this, and so do his mum and I. The speech setting, with phrases like those in the title always make us laugh. There's also more sensible singing, alphabet, and counting too. Educational and fun - just as it should be ;) ...and we've not even moved it from 'rocker' to 'wheeled' mode yet.

Durability: Fun: Educational: Very durable toy. My daughter has banged and thrown it across the room but it continues to work well. Buttons large and easy to push. Makes vehicle noises and lots of music. It is very loud and does not have any volume control. I think my daughter becomes annoyed with it after about 10 minutes and flings it away. Also the toy vehicles on the ring are made of hard plastic and uncomfortable to bite on. Overall nice toy.

Durability: Fun: Educational: This toy is excellent, certainly of an entertainment value to young babies with an active mind and yearning for learning. The ability to expand and add more 'games' also means this is a must for development of the young mind. Amusing children with a PS3 would be of concern but this is aimed at young minds with a grasp of the basics of education at an early age. Don't buy it if your child is going to be of the PlayStation generation, Do Buy it if your child is going to grow up with any degree of an educated upbringing!

Durability: Fun: Educational: After reading the damning review previously, I couldn't help but point out a few things. If you don't want a toy that concentrates on ice cream maybe it would be a good idea not to purchase a toy with the title 'Ice cream colour shop'. Because it is based on ice cream does not mean a parent needs to rush to the shop and buy the stuff. Potential buyers need to look at the fun, durability and educational value of the toy which are all good.

The part that is really good is where the child places animal figures on a pad which then announces what the animal is and makes the animal noise. There is also three button that when pressed sometimes say the colour (good) but also somtimes says the name of some item of junk food like strawberry ice cream for red and I think that is really bad, it could esily has been prgrammed to call out the name of various pieces of fruit, but no, they programme it to call out junk food. There is also an ice cream cone and when the pad is activated with this a tune is played " I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!". Well I don't want my child anywhere near a toy like this that is going to encourage her to scream for ice cream. It has a rasonable quality to the manufacture of the product and easily could have been a very good toy if only the designers had thought a bit about the content.
